Creativity has been a pillar in Jya’s life. She studied Art and Design in college and continuously develops her skills in music, painting, drawing, and crafting. Growing up in Glastonbury’s unique environment as a traveller has led her to explore human nature and society, themes that shape both her lyrics and her art. Living creatively and inspired by nature, Jya seeks to bring hidden aspects of life into view, allowing space for the unseen to be noticed.

Music is at the heart of Jya’s world; each song she writes conveys an intimate journey, inviting listeners to connect with their own inner selves. Her song Island expresses a profound longing to feel deeply connected to the natural world, while her singles Wanderer and She/No Fight, No Regret express her deep love for nature and relationships with her surroundings.​
Beyond music, Jya is also an artist, photographer, and emerging videographer and designer, focusing on themes of identity, body positivity, and nature. In 2022, she founded We Are Wild Sessions, a grassroots project that combines music and nature to raise environmental awareness and celebrate art inspired by the natural world.
